My name is Jen Kassing and I recently moved to Chester, NH from Maryland.  I am a family portrait photographer with a focus on maternity and newborn photography, and I’m so happy to be living in this small, family-friendly community!

Prior to starting my business in photography I worked for 15 years in a crime laboratory.  After so many years of seeing all the bad things this world has to offer I needed to focus on something positive.  What could be better than the joy and love of a family!?!

A little more about me:

• I am the only female in my house. Even the dog is a boy!!

• It is not unusual to find me battling with swords or having an indoor snowball fight.

• I am one of the handful of people in this world who doesn’t like coffee. Whaaaaat?!

• I have lived in 7 different states, but New England has always felt like home. I lived in MA twice before.

• I am happy to once again be living closer to the beach, although I don’t get there enough (maybe we could go!).

• Family is EVERYTHING. We moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family and it has been the best decision I have ever made!

I started this business focusing solely on maternity and newborn photography, but I am learning that I enjoy capturing all stages of families.  When my second child was born I had newborn photos taken and we now have a beautiful family portrait on our wall because of it.  Every time I see that image it makes me smile because the love and happiness that we felt at that time just shines through.  That is what I want for you!  It is my desire to provide you and your family with images that make you smile and remind you of this amazing time.  If you are interested in a photography session with me, I would love for you to drop me a line!
